Dudes, you totally failed to mention that while they were so busy worrying about how to market the thing, they forgot to make the CPU do math right.
The Pentium Floating Point Division (FDIV) bug, which amounted to egg on Intel’s face more than anything (only appoximately 1 per 9 billion divisions would be affected), was nonetheless a humorous bit of related geeky history.
You know, now that you say that I remember it, but it totally failed to even enter my brain when doing the research for the topic.
